Progress On New Album
We’ve been working hard and have most of the tracks down for the new album. Here’s a couple of “working” versions of two of the new tracks.
“Show Me What You Got”
Steve Floyd provided a dynamic backing track and I laid some guitars and vocals over it. The lyrics are essentially the script of a very short action movie. The ending is left open to the listeners imagination. Did the hero and the people he/she had rescued escape the burning / collapsing building? You decide.
“Peace Of Mind”
Another storytelling piece, about a couple meeting again after three decades apart. It started as a ditty over an acoustic guitar until Steve Floyd created an orchestral backing track I really really like. Guitars are quite sparse but I do play a harmonica! (First time, be gentle.) I think it’s an interesting mix of styles. I’m not sure what we made, but I’m pleased with it.
